It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
It’s the most wonderful time of year and we all know what that means... CHRISTMAS! There is no better time of year than Christmas! Who doesn’t love Christmas!? (other than Scrooge) Christmas is the time for friends, family, and festive fun!
As child I could not wait till Christmas! I always enjoyed seeing Santa Clause and telling him what I wanted for Christmas. It was probably something Disney... As always. I refermber this one specify Christmas Eve though, Santa came to my backdoor to surprise me and I was dressed as Snow White (wig and all) and I ripped the wig of because I was afraid Santa wouldn't know me and wouldn't leave me any presents.
One thing I have loved since a young.child that I still love today is wrapping presents. I have always been a very precise wrapper and also go the extra mile. I have to have the ribbons and the bows just like you see in the movies. Gift giving is such a great feeling. I have always enjoy receiving but giving just always makes me so happy. I love seeing the look on people's faces when they see what I got them. The best gift I ever gave though was when I wrapped a big box and got inside to jump out and scare my grandparents when I was about 10.
Celebrating Christmas is so fun because of all the pretty lights and activities. Especially when living in Nashville there as soon many things to do to be festive! One thing I finally got to do is go to "ICE!"at Opryland and wow was it cold! It is only 9 degrees in there with over a million pounds of ice! There is also ice skating...and I quickly realized I'm not very good because I fell twice. Don't worry I'm fine haha. There is also this new attraction is Nashville called GLOW Nashville and really wanna check it out. If you have been please leave in the comments area what you thought about it!
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, oh how I love to decorate thee. Putting up the tree is always my favorite part of Christmas because I love to decorate. Back when I still lived with my parents we had this huge tree that was an old 90's branch by branch tree where you had to put each light strand on the tree. It was definitely a hassle but definitely worth it because it is still till today one of the fullest, prettiest, and realistic looking trees I've seen and someday will become my tree because my parents hate it.
Shop till you drop is my saying or well at least till you're almost broke. I shop so much during Christmas as well as everyone else in sure. I love shopping every day of the year but especially during the holiday season.
Christmastime is so much fun and great. It is time to be with friends and family and have hot chocolate and watch Christmas movies, but we can't lose sight of what Christmas is all about and that is being with ones you love to celebrate the one that was born many, thousands of years ago.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
